The chicks have been moved outside during the day. Soon they will move in with Brownie. She seems quite excited to have new bunk mates.

So, it looks like Millicent is a light Brahma, not your classic white Plymouth. She has all the markings, black around her neck and tail feathers and a fluff of feathers on her feet. She sure is going to be pretty.

In recent chicken news...

They have been set free! In the yard that is. I'm just trying to keep them from the wandering cat that comes in our yard. I need to get a picture of them on their porch. It's so cute!

We are currently keeping the chicks in the garage in a cardboard box. Last week I upgraded their box to a larger version. I guess it's time to upgrade again. Tonight when I went out to the garage, Minnie (aka Trouble) decided to fly out. Luckily she was perched on a stool next to the box and didn't flee the garage.
